Travis Cargill born March 26, 1938 in Nocona, Texas, the daughter of Weldon and Mary Anna Cowan. Ms. Cargill passed from this life on June 8, 2017 in Wichita Falls, Texas.

Ms. Cargill was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, Thomas David Pierce and David Cargill, and her brother Mike Cowan,

She is survived by her sister: Christie Moore and husband Ron of Moore Idaho, brother: Phillip Andy Cowan of Nocona, Texas, daughters: Tammy Clark of Nocona and Terensa Faye Castro of Pearland, Texas, grandchildren: Trace Allyson Hilton of Mansfield, Carmen Faye Castro of Pearland, Pierce Gerard Castro of Virginia, Caleb Ray Castro of Pearland, great-grandchildren: Charlie Wayne Hilton of Nocona, Ethan Avery Mazidi, and Seth Ayden Mazidi of Mansfield, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends, and Butters her dog.

Travis was a teacher for over 30 years. She was librarian, elementary education, and computer science teacher. She was an active member of TOPS, the library board, Ladies' Auxiliary, Red Hat Society, very active in her church choir, loved books, reading the Bible, and teaching the Bible. She was a member of Bible study groups at First Baptist Church and at Nocona Hills. Ms. Cargill was also a member of Maids and Matrons.

Travis loved to be busy. When she wasn't busy with her various clubs and organizations she was doing cross stitch, traveling, bird watching, going to her grandchildren's many activities, or planning get-togethers with her friends so they could just drink coffee and fellowship with one another.

Ms. Cargill will be greatly missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing this wonderful woman.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Scott-Morris Funeral Home. Visitation will be Sunday, June 11, 2017 at 2PM at First Baptist Church, Nocona with funeral services following at 3:30.
