Cecil Bay (Sassy) Crenshaw, 79, of Nocona, TX, passed away in Belcherville, TX on February 9, 2005.

He was born January 9, 1926 in Red River Station, TX to Lionel Preston Crenshaw and Cecil Miles Crenshaw. On July 26, 1943 he married Doris Rose Driver in Waurika, OK. He was a rancher, retired teacher, coach and banker. Mr. Crenshaw graduated from Nocona High School and Hardin College in Wichita Falls, TX. He was a member of the Church of Christ and former member of Nocona Lions Club. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII.

  Funeral services were Saturday, February 12, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of Christ in Nocona with Rev. Dale Scott and Maxie Boren officiating. Jerry Wood Funeral Home directed the service. Burial followed in Nocona Cemetery.

 Pallbearers were Jerry Reed, Bay Reed, Craig Beckham, Tommy Uselton, Joe Uselton, Jackie Boy Crenshaw, Gary Crenshaw and Billy Crenshaw.

 Honorary pallbearers were Paul Lamar, Ben Hill, Phil Staley, Joe Staley, Roy C. Fitts, Don Reece, Charles Kidwell, Tommy Sparks, Don Sewell, Dusty Rhodes, Jack Cunningham, Adrian Hill, Gerald Russell, Hugh Phemister, Fred West and Martin Paschel.

  Survivors include: his wife, Doris Rose Crenshaw of Belcherville, TX; children, Shelah Sanderson and husband, Michael, Henrietta, TX, Cathy Goolsby and husband, Jimmy of Henrietta, TX and Lisa Crenshaw of Henrietta, TX; two sisters, Juanita Roberson and Bonnie Raby, both of Nocona, TX; four grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by brothers Lee, Jack and Billy Joe Crenshaw.
