Richard J. Bailey, 88, of Nocona, TX, passed away March 6, 2008 in Nocona.
 
He was born February 5, 1920 in Wellington, TX to Waddell D. and Ethel McClure Bailey. On March 29, 1942, he married Alamae Moore in Wellington. He was a banker and loan officer and served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Nocona, Nocona Rotary Club, retired volunteer fireman, and served on the hospital board and Carpenter Shop board.
 
Funeral services were Sunday, March 9, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church of Nocona with Rev. Dave Woodbury & Rev. Larry Kruger officiating. 

Burial followed in Nocona Cemetery, under the direction of Jerry Woods Funeral Home.
 
Survivors include: his wife, Alamae Bailey of Nocona, TX; son, Tim Bailey of Austin, TX; brother, Joe Bailey of Dallas, TX; six grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
 
Pallbearers were Jeff Tucker, Erin Allen, Andrea Foster, Chris Trezona, Kevin Bailey, Herbert Foster and Robert Allen.
