After an illness of several weeks, death called L. A. Gray on Tuesday morning. He was at the Harris Sanitarium at Fort Worth for some two to three weeks. He was suffering from cancer. He was born at Elberton, Georgia January 23, 1868 and died September 12, 1916 at Fort Worth, Texas. The body was brought to Nocona Tuesday and laid to rest at the Nocona Cemetery. A brother, W. T. Gray, of LaRue, Henderson County, Texas, accompanied the remains and has charge of the estate. Source: Nocona News - September 15, 1916
