Glen Dennis Hawkins, 86, of Nocona, TX, passed away July 9, 2005 in the Nocona General Hospital.

He was born July 14, 1918 in Nocona to William and Mae Hodges Hawkins. On April 16, 1982 he married Burtris O'Neal (Spivey) in Marrietta, OK. He worked for Steward and Stevenson of Houston, TX for thirty years. He was a member of Central Christian Church and the Nocona Masonic Lodge #753 AF & AM.

Funeral services were Monday, July 11, 2005 at 3:30 p.m. at Jerry Woods Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Scott Hamilton officiating. Burial followed in Nocona Cemetery. Jerry Woods Funeral Home of Nocona directed the service.

Survivors include: his wife, Burtris Hawkins; one son, Steve Spivey of Fort Worth, TX; and two grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Lynn Adams, Bob Harper, Jerry O'Neal, Ricky O'Neal, Bob Roberts, Thomas Scruggs and Larry Veale. Honorary pallbearers were O.C. Harper and Ken Hickman.
