He worked as a sales coordinator for 29 years. He also served as church Secretary and Treasurer for the Longview Assembly of God Church. Neil married Joann Underwood on November 24, 1950. Funeral services were at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 2, 2008 at Scott-Morris Funeral Home, with Reverends Donald Cheshire and Clarence Russell officiating. Burial followed in Nocona Cemetery under the direction of the Scott-Morris Funeral Home. He is survived by: wife, Joann Underwood; three children, Jim Coventry and Neil Coventry of Amarillo, TX and Julie Kile of Nocona, TX; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents and an infant daughter, Marcy Coventry. The family requests memorials be made to the First Assembly of God Church in Saint Jo, TX.
