Ward D. Howard, son of W. W. Howard, who lived south of Nocona some years ago, died at Camp Taylor, Kentucky, Thursday, October 24th 1918, and was buried at the Nocona Cemetery, Tuesday, October 29th, the funeral being held at the Nocona Church of Christ, Eld. Tice Elkins conducting the services.

His father, W. W. Howard now lives in California, while a sister, Mrs. Charlie Clay, lives near Nocona. He was laid to rest beside his mother and a younger brother. He was born in Montague county June 12th 1894, and was therefore, 24 years, 4 months and 12 days of age when he died.
