She was born on November 18, 1916 to Luther and Martha Wilkins. She married Joe Wise on October 6, 1933. She was a charter member of the First United Presbyterian Church of Nocona. She worked at A&P Grocery and Horizon Manor Nursing Home. 

Funeral services were Sunday, July 15, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. in the Nocona Cemetery, with the Rev. Dwane Lamberson, Jacksboro, TX, officiating and arrangements under the direction of the Scott-Morris Funeral Home.

Survivors include daughter, Peggy Mann, Bowie, TX; sister, Nina Eaton, Bonham, TX and one great-great-grandson.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe; daughter, Betty Ann York; grandson, Ronny York; 4 brothers and 2 sisters.
