Mary Castillo, 75, of Nocona, TX, passed away January 1, 2010 in Nocona. She was born September 2, 1935 in Cadereita N.L. Mexico to Pedro Cerna and Josefina Garza Melo Cantu. Mary worked for Nocona Boot Co. for many years and then for Cherry Street Village, as a nurses aide. She was a friend to all and she will be missed dearly. Funeral services were at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 5, 2010 at Iglesia Bautista Nueva Vida of Nocona with Rev. Tomas Funetes officiating. Burial followed at Nocona Cemetery, under the direction of Scott-Morris Funeral Home. Mary is survived by: her husband of 57 years, Jose Castillo of Nocona; two sons, James Castillo and Johnny Castillo and Susan Langston of Nocona; brother, Jesus Cantu Garza and wife, Guadalupe Ibarra Cantu of Farwell, TX; eight grandchildren; and thirteen great grandchildren who loved and adored her. She was preceded in death by: her parents; son, Lupe Castillo; two brothers, Jose Cantu & Juna Cantu; and a daughter-in-law, Elva Castillo.
