Billy J. “Chick” Russell, 74 of Nocona, Texas, passed away September 23, 2015, in Nocona, Texas. 
   
Chick was born November 23, 1940, in Whitesboro, Texas, to W.A. Russell and Ruby Covington. He married Lupe Pro on September 1, 1977, in Nocona, Texas. Chick worked as expeditor of Peterbuilt, served in the U.S. National Guard, and was a member of Era Masonic Lodge.
    
Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. on September 25, 2015, at Nocona Cemetery. Reverend Jack McBride officated. Interment followed at Nocona Cemetery. 
   
Chick is survived by sons, Billy Joe Russell of Nocona, Abe Workman of Garland; daughter, Misty Matlock of Nocona; sisters, 
Ruby Waldrip of Nocona, Brenda Dungan of Nocona; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
