On Friday morning, Aug 20th, 1915 at 7 a. m., Joe O’Donnel breathed his last. He had lingered since June 1914 with tuberculosis. During his long illness and adverse circumstances he was ever patient and cheerful. When the last came he met death as though he were meeting an old friend, with a joyful face.  He was a member of the Nocona Baptist Church, the members of which assisted by other sympathetic friends supplied his wants in his last days. After a short funeral service his remains were laid in the Nocona Cemetery at 6.30 p. m., August 20th.
