He was a member of Bonita Baptist Church, a Past Master of Saint Jo Masonic Lodge# 483 A.F. & A.M., Maskat Shrine in Wichita Falls, and a founding member of Jean’s Men’s Bible Class in Nocona. He was a hard worker, working mostly in the oil field having his own business. He married the love of his life, Peggy Hurley on Aug. 31, 1968 in Roosevelt, OK. He is survived by his wife, Peggy Allen of Nocona, TX, daughter, Stacy Gamblin & husband James of Bowie, TX, sisters, Alice Harper & husband Mike of Bowie, TX, Minnie Walker of Ringgold, TX, Joan Tettleton of Nocona, TX, Barbara Ice of Bonita, TX, brother, David Allen & wife Linda of Nocona, TX, and grandchildren, Jordan Pigg, Taylor Pigg, Abbi Gamblin, & Cooper Gamblin. There will be a service Monday, January 18, 2021 at 2 P.M. at Nocona Cemetery officiated by Dr. Scott Hamilton. Pallbearers will be his grandchildren, Bob Langford & Dr. Brent Meridith. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Jean’s Men’s Bible Class, Jeff Roberts, Greg Mahotchi, & Gary Hunter. Memorial donations may be made to Lucky Paws Animal Shelter, PO Box 595, Nocona 76255 or Meals on Wheels, Carpenter’s Shop, 400 Boston, Nocona, TX 76255.
