Roger Henley, 77, died on July 1, 2022 in Gainesville, TX after a twenty-one-year battle with cancer.  He was born on July 24, 1944 in Muenster, TX to Travis & Cora Lee Grimes Henley.  

Roger had a funny sense of humor and could sometimes be pretty onery.  He loved all animals and raised cattle most of his life.  He was a member of the Church of Christ in Saint Jo, TX.  He married the love of his life Nancy Haverkamp on August 4, 1966 in Sherman, TX.  Together they owned and operated Henley printing for twenty years.  He will be missed my many.  

He is survived by his wife, Nancy Henley of Saint Jo, TX, children, Lynn Henley & wife Shannon of Nocona, TX, Nannette Walterscheid & husband Danny of Muenster, TX, Shannon Foster & special friend Robert Martin of Gainesville, TX, sister, Carolyn McGee of Nocona, TX, brother-in-law, Charlie Haverkamp & wife Lynn of Gainesville, TX, grandchildren, Ashley Speights & husband Billy, Isac Walterscheid, Lynsey Henley, Jace Edington, Kaylee Edington, Isabella Walterscheid, Sydney Foster, great-grandchildren, Charley Jo Speights, Sophia Mundin, and many nieces and nephews.   

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 5, 2022 from 6 – 7 P.M. at Jerry Woods Funeral Home Chapel in Nocona.  A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at 11 A.M. at Nocona Cemetery with Minister Austin Wright officiating.  

Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or The Church of Christ in Saint Jo or Nocona.
