Richard Edwin Jones, 72, died on March 29, 2023 in Denton, TX. He was born on December 18, 1950 in Olney, TX to James & Juanita Slater Jones. Richard worked mostly as a RN for Sheppard Air Force Base in Wichita Falls. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was an amazing father and granddad and a pretty okay fisherman. He married the love of his life Deborah Buck on July 11, 1975. She preceded him in death on June 14, 2022. He is also preceded in death by his parents, brother Jimmy Jones & sisters, Juanita Mathis, Nelda Stewart and Wanda. He is survived by his children, Candace Jones of Gainesville, TX, Justin Jones & wife Naomi of Argyle, TX, and grandchildren, Jennifer Martinez and Rieve Jones. There will be a graveside service for Richard on Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at 2 P.M. at Nocona Cemetery with Tom Rozier officiating. Memorial donations may be made to American Cancer Society.
