Mrs. Mary M. Clark was born in Gordon County, Georgia March 7, 1865, married to B.D. Clark in 1883, their union was blessed with three children, two boys and one girl. She raised four of her husband’s children besides her own. In her 16th year, she joined the Methodist Church. In the fall of 1905 she and her family moved to Texas and settled in Nocona where she lived until her death, February 7, 1922. A large congregation attended the funeral at the Methodist Church, conducted by Rev. W. R. McCarter, assisted by Rev. Minor Bounds, her former pastor. Source: Nocona News - February 10, 1922
